This is where I found my family. This is where the seed that God planted really began to grow. Lots of opportunities to serve and a congregation that genuinely loves God and one another.
In response to the previous post of several years ago, the information you posted is incorrect. Our congregation was never at the address you posted, we do not have and have never had instrumental worship. You have confused us with another congregation. You will find here a loving family that is dedicated to following the Word of God, reaching out to our community, serving those in need and worshiping together in Spirit and in Truth.
The people are wonderful
This is what is basically a Holy Roller type church today. Times have evolved as the progressives have moved into the churches and changed the beliefs and practices of so many churches today. When the Gates St church of Christ built this building at 1140 Williams Rd and moved in in the late 1960s, it was a very conservative acapella congregation. I was one of the teenagers proud to call it home as we all worked and grew in Christ's name and watched God work to help our congregation grow. The building was sold years later (in the late 1990s, I believe ~ I had already left and was worshiping at Alkire Rd in Grove City) to a denomination who built a huge stage for their drums, piano, guitars and whatever so the name they use is deceptive and contrary to what a church of Christ practices ~ which is ~ No creeds, Bible only as our guide, no instrumental music, saved by immersion in baptism as we are washed in the blood of Christ. Always do your research before going to worship with ANY church of Christ, as many have fallen into denominational ways and are no longer following the pattern the Bible has set for us to follow. No offense intended to anyone, just wanted to let others know to be careful because the name of the church doesn't always speak for what the person believes is right according to scripture. Personally, I think this congregation of folks should change their name because the name they use is deceptive to others.
